Canada wins again at WTO

The World Trade Organization (WTO) today made public the decision of the panel reviewing the U.S. Department of Commerce's softwood lumber countervailing duty determination. Brazilian Furniture Exports Set to Rise

Brazil, the 9th largest supplier of wooden furniture to the US, looks set to increase its total furniture exports by 20 per cent this year. Stora Enso North America announces fixed-cost reductions

Dynea strengthens its presence in Indonesia Dynea has inaugurated a new adhesive plant in Surabaya, Pasuruan, Indonesia. Brazil: Planting Kickstart

The government of the Brazilian state of Rio is providing a plant for new forestry planting with the goal of developing a forest products industry. Stora Enso Timber to build a second sawmill in Latvia

Stora Enso Timber will build a new sawmill at Krustpils, near Jekabpils in Latvia, as part of the expansion programme announced in August 2002 when it acquired a majority shareholding in Sylvester's five sawmills and a component mill in Estonia and Latvia. Nexfor sells sawmills to Tembec

Nexfor Inc. announced it has signed an agreement to sell its sawmills at La Sarre and Senneterre, Quebec to Tembec for approximately CDN$50 million plus working capital.
